Todd Pretzer of Horace went to his primary care doctor for a routine physical because his blood pressure had been elevated.  While there, his doctor prescribed a Cologuard test which came back positive, and a follow up colonoscopy on November 22nd revealed a 4cm mass.  The next month followed with blood tests, CT, MRI and PET scans, which determined he has Stage 2 colorectal cancer.  A treatment plan was made and on January 12th a combination of radiation and chemotherapy began for 5 weeks.  He started IV chemotherapy on February 28th for the next 3 months and will have another scan to determine when surgery will be scheduled.  Once recovered from surgery, he will continue with chemotherapy for another 4 months, and finally another surgery.
