Terry Buringrud Memorial Fundraiser
Terry Buringrud was a cherished member of the Tower City community for 48 years. Known to many as Mr. B, he dedicated his life to teaching, coaching, and serving others. He held roles as an elementary school teacher, coach, bus driver, elementary school principal, Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, church council member, and a city employee during the summers. He was also the beloved Raider Rec summer baseball coach. Most importantly, Terry was a devoted caregiver to his wife, who battled dementia for the last decade.
Terry was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late June, and after being hospitalized on July 9th, he passed away on July 16th, caring for his wife up until then. His passing has deeply impacted his family, leaving his children, Nikki and Eric, to manage the responsibilities of their father’s affairs. Their mother, who is in advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease, is now receiving full care at St. Raphael’s nursing home in Valley City. The burden of these circumstances has caused them both to miss many days of work as they navigate the challenges of paying bills, organizing affairs, and piecing together their lives after such a profound loss.
