In early August, Sonja was taken by ambulance to Sanford in Fargo. Upon her time there she was diagnosed with a blood infection, bone infection, urinary infection, and sepsis. After spending 14 days at Sanford in Fargo, she was transferred to Wheaton, MN. She is expected to stay there for a minimum of 8 weeks, if not more.

Sonja has been a daycare provider for 34 years, helping many families, even during her battle with cancer that began in 2021. She has now had to close her daycare temporarily and does not know if she will be able to return to doing what she has loved doing for more than the past three decades. Money raised for Sonja will go towards helping with medical expenses and loss of income. Your  online gift will be boosted by 20%, with 100% of your gift going directly to Sonja. Cash/checks may be gifted directly to Sonja Reed.
