Sam Hill Fundraiser
Sam is a 15-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with Refractory Epilepsy, a drug-resistant epilepsy. He has been struggling with seizures for three years, despite the different medications and surgeries they have tried. His independence is greatly affected, as Sam faces a higher risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). To improve his safety and overall quality of life, Sam has been approved for a Seizure Response Service Dog. This specially trained dog will provide immediate alerts during seizures, stay with him in public spaces, and even notify emergency contacts of his GPS location. The hope is that the dog will enable Sam to lead a more typical life, reduce recovery time after seizures, and increase his participation in school and social activities.
The cost of getting a service dog is significant, as there are training costs and travel expenses. Your online gift will be boosted by 20%, with 100% of your gift going directly to Sam and his family. Cash/checks may be gifted directly to Jessica Stockford, Sam’s mom.
