RoLinda Mix Fundraiser
On September 20th, 2022, RoLinda Mix of Fargo was seen in the Emergency Room at Essentia and consequently admitted to the hospital for further evaluation. Scans revealed a mass on her pancreas and so began a whirlwind of tests, procedures, and a referral to Sanford. A biopsy confirmed the mass was cancer that has metastasized to her liver. Ro, as her friends know her, has started a lifetime of chemotherapy drugs, but the good news is that the cancer is responding and everyone is cautiously optimistic, as her blood cell counts remain low. In January, RoLinda’s job as a remote exam proctor at Rasmussen University was eliminated.
Friends and family have started this fundraiser to help with medical expenses, prescriptions, and loss of income. Lend A Hand Up will boost your online gift by 20%, making your generosity go further! Cash/Check gifts can be made to RoLinda Mix Benefit and dropped by Bell Bank | 3100 13th Ave S | Fargo, ND 58103.
“I appreciate all your thoughts, prayers and support! Matthew 28:20 I am with you always.” Love, Ro
Comments
- If you feel moved to do so, first and foremost, please consider making a donation to Ro on this LAHU page as 100% of the donations go to Ro to help with her expenses AND they are ‘boosted’ by 20%.
- Add a comment for Ro on this LAHU page as she does have access and does read them. A real day brightener for her!
- Snail mail is still a thing! Send a card to Ro as everyone loves happy mail.
- Do you like to cook when you feel crummy? Many of us know that taste buds change daily while taking chemo. Ro avoids going out in public due to her suppressed immune system but would love to order from her favorite spots if she has a craving (Duane’s Pizza, Hi Ho, Applebees, Lucky 13, Nine Dragons, Hornbachers and Cash Wise). Include a gift card in that snail mail card or E-card.
- We all need necessities so Ro could utilize gift cards from Amazon, VISA, Costco, Walmart and Target.
- Do you garden? Can you assist Ro in planting flowers and cleaning flower beds this spring?
- Strong muscles? Can you assist Ro in power washing her deck this spring?
- Outdoorsy? Can you assist Ro in mowing her yard?

This stuff picked the wrong person, Ro. Your determination, endurance, and attitude through the trial, is going to win out. You have never backed down from a challenge, and I know you will not now. Thoughts and prayers for your strength, peace and perfect outcome, are offered up so often. I hold our days of work (and laughs) together, fondly in my heart. Take care.
