Sixteen year old Reese Scufsa went to the clinic in November for what he thought was flu symptoms and was quickly diagnosed as being in heart failure.  They discovered that Reese had an enlarged heart causing issues with his organs and an associated blood clot in his heart.  He was airlifted to Minneapolis Children’s Hospital and put on an ECMO machine while awaiting a transplant.  On December 1 the call came and Reese received a new heart!  He is currently recovering and doing well.  All funds will be used to offset medical costs as well as other expenses related to travel/lodging in Minneapolis.  Reese lives in Fargo with his mom, Denise Scufsa, and has three siblings (Brady, Parker and Kali).

I do not know you, but my daugher, who is an exchange student from Norway at North High this year, tells me you are a very nice outgoing kid who brightens up everybody’s day just by being around and smiling and saying “Hi” to everyone.
