Paige Davis Fundraiser
Paige and her significant other, Tye, were visiting their parents in the Florida Keys when she suddenly had two seizures on March 7. After the second seizure she was taken to a local hospital where they performed a CT scan. Through the scan they found that Paige had a traumatic brain injury. At that time, the hospital determined they needed to sedate, intubate and fly her to Miami for treatment. Paige underwent two surgeries to help relieve the pressure and control the bleeding in her brain. Paige was living in a Miami rehab facility for a while receiving physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy every day. Back home, Paige is prepping for another surgery to reattach part of her skull now that the swelling has gone down. Please join us in raising help and hope for Paige as she recovers. Friends are hosting a fundraiser with many ways to show your support including a dart tournament benefit at Rookies Sports Bar Saturday, April 17 and a volleyball/beanbag tournament benefit at Billiards and Gastropub Saturday, June 26 at 2:00. Register through the online registration button above starting May 3. Cash/checks payable to “Paige D Davis Benefit Fund” may be sent to Bell Bank, 3100 13th Ave S, P.O. Box 10877, Fargo, ND 58106-0877.
Update on Next Surgery for Paige
Hi all! Paige continues to work hard in all her therapies and is still getting stronger. She also stays pretty upbeat and amuses us with her unique sense of humor!
She finally saw the neurosurgeon on Monday, June 7th. She has surgery scheduled for Thursday, June 24th to reattach the portion of her skull they had to remove after her second surgery in Miami. They anticipate she will be in the hospital for 3-4 days and will most likely have a little setback from the progress she has made but will start therapy again as soon as possible. We will post an update after the surgery.
Paige and Tye have settled in back home with their fur babies and we finally finished their bathroom renovation.
Thanks again for all your amazing support! We can’t thank you enough!!
