Michelle Vesey Fundraiser
At the young age of 44, Michelle Vesey of Detroit Lakes has recently been admitted to an assisted living facility in Moorhead due to a terminal genetic condition called Huntington’s Disease. Huntington’s Disease leads to involuntary movements, deterioration of mental, neurological and physical capacities, resulting in increasing levels of care. It is a degenerative disease that adversely impacts all physical and mental abilities which together makes it difficult for Michelle and everyone who loves and cares for her. She was diagnosed in 2016 and now requires constant care that the family (husband Joe and daughter Lauren of Detroit Lakes) are no longer able to provide. Michelle dedicated her life to care for others as a Registered Nurse and now she is relying on others to care for her.
The assisted living facility and medical expenditures are significant and will increase as her condition worsens. Caring family members have stepped forward to champion this fundraiser to raise help and hope for Michelle, Joe and Lauren. Lend A Hand Up will increase your generosity by 20% when you donate here and 100% of your donation will go to the family. Cash/Checks should be made payable to the Michelle Vesey Benefit Fund and dropped by Bell Bank, 920 Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501.
