Jonathan Walters Fundraiser
A noticeable bruise on Jonathan Walters left arm began became increasingly painful. By the next day a large lump had formed in his armpit and the veins in his shoulder began expanding and turned bright purple. At this point, he knew he needed medical attention but with his business closing recently and no medical insurance, expense was a concern. After a few conversations and an ultrasound, he was sent to the Emergency Room immediately with a massive blood clot that was moving from its original location to his lungs. Jonathan was prescribed an expensive blood thinner medication to take for the next 3-6 months. The financial burden is overwhelming and the stress of the blood clot dislodging is not only emotionally draining, but physically challenging. The side work to make ends meet while this entrepreneur determines the next chapter of his career will most likely be paused.
His friends say Jonathan is a champion of the Fargo-Moorhead area and has taken personal risks to equip others to get outside and enjoy nature through his business, Nature of the North. Unfortunately the pandemic took its toll and he had to close his business in 2022. This online fundraiser will help Jonathan with his financial setback and medical expenses. Lend A Hand Up will increase your gift 20% when you donate online – 100% of the money goes to Jon.
