Jodell Johnson Fundraiser
Jodell Johnson had a pontine stroke on Labor Day, 2010, which caused Locked-In-Syndrome. She is now quadriplegic and ventilator dependent. She has battled numerous medical complications since then and requires complex cares. After several years in a nursing home, she was able to return home with 24/7 nursing care. Since the Covid epidemic, her family has not been able to sustain adequate staffing levels for her care. Currently only about 16/168 hours in a week are staffed through an outside agency, with her husband primarily covering cares for an exhaustive 152/168 hours each week. As a result of the time sacrifices, her husband Ruel Johnson cannot seek FT employment outside the home.
Friends of the family have stepped up to raise financial help for the Johnson family. When you donate online, Lend A Hand Up will increase your gift 20%, making your generosity go further! Cash/Check gifts must be given directly to the family.
