Isaac suffered a stroke and experienced two open heart surgeries within his first two years of life. He needed a feeding tube until almost 3 yrs.  His parents have found it challenging to keep up with medical bills for many years and now, as a 12 year old, Isaac was required to undergo another open heart surgery in October.  Both Tasha and Patrick, Isaac’s parents, are hoping to be able to spend time with him during his recovery but will be unable to do so without your help. Money raised for Isaac and his family will go towards assisting with medical/travel expenses, and loss of income. 100% of your donation will go directly to the family, online gifts are boosted by 20% through our Lend A Hand Up program. Cash/checks may be gifted directly to Tasha Douglas.

Isaac had a few clots after surgery, so now he is on a few new medications. 2. He had some major swelling on his right side from his hip down. We don't have much of an answer right now, besides him having smaller vessels in his right side which is why they had issues getting him on bypass for surgery. Between that and the other issues that started back in April could be what's causing the swelling and discomfort. Also, the 3 clots have been on his right side. 3. Lower calcium levels- Isaac already has some issues with calcium and his body working even harder lately makes it even harder for his body to maintain a good calcium level. MORE MEDS! Still no school because of sternal precautions and walking issues. On top of all this, we are all fighting bad colds this week. So, I was unable to start Physical therapy and other things that needed to be done this week.";}
