Diamond Williams Fundraiser
Diamond Williams immigrated to the United States from Africa at the age of eight with her father, leaving behind her mother and some siblings. She faced numerous challenges growing up with limited family support, managing to pay her own bills from a young age. Despite her hardships, she enrolled in massage school but had to take a leave of absence due to family medical emergencies. During this time, she remained committed to her studies and kept up with her coursework. However, just before she was due to return to school, she was involved in a tragic accident where she was run over three times by a car. Diamond survived but suffered severe injuries, including a broken pelvis that required extensive medical treatment and a long recovery period. Despite these challenges, she showed incredible determination, returning to school with limitations and gradually rebuilding her strength. Her hard work paid off as she became the best performer in her class, with the goal of helping others through massage therapy. Diamond currently resides in Fargo.
Diamond’s resilience and perseverance are evident in her journey to overcome the trauma of her accident, both physically and emotionally. Despite facing significant obstacles, including medical bills and the challenges of recovery, she remained focused on her goals. She continues to attend physical therapy, and while she still deals with the trauma of that night, she is determined to find the positive in her experience. Diamond’s dedication to her education and passion for helping others through massage therapy has driven her to excel in her field. She plans to open her own spa in the future, aiming to provide relief and support to others. Her story is a testament to her strength and commitment to her dreams, even in the face of adversity.
