Callie Nelson of Moorhead started experiencing medical troubles following a surgery in 2021 that led to irreparable damage to her stomach and intestines.  She underwent reconstructive surgery at Mayo Clinic in May 2021 to repair the damage and resulted in removal of her stomach and one third of her intestines.  She continues to experience side effects of treatment which makes it difficult to work or enjoy activities of daily living.  Money raised will help with ongoing prescriptions, food and housing expense while she recovers.  Callie is a mom, wife, sister and friend who has supported our community by throwing many fundraisers, benefits and auctions over the years.
