Bradly Forness Fundraiser
Brad Forness and family reside on the family farm NW of West Fargo. Both he and wife Sara teach at Central Cass School – Brad is the facility manager and taught Construction Trades. It’s said he can fix anything and that has come handy at school, whether it be a leaky faucet, a broken desk or furnace repair. At home, he skillfully performed surgery on old tractors to keep them running to clear snow for his wife and daughter, Joslin’s, herd of equine friends.
In November 2022 he suffered a severe stroke, leaving him without the use of his left side, altered vision, and a different sense of reality. Through it all his personality and humor have prevailed, and he continues to work hard to regain mobility and strength. His stroke necessitated a craniectomy (partial skull removal), which he just underwent surgery in April to repair. He is looking forward to burning his helmet, but will be wheelchair bound for some time, and his ability to work is on hold. As the right brain injury was significant, Brad’s impulsivity creates a safety issue, and he cannot be left alone. Sara works full-time and Joslin is in her last semester of college. Most of the expected expenses will be for home health care supervision and transportation as Brad gains more cognitive abilities. The family feels blessed to have Brad with them regardless of the long road ahead.
Donations to his fundraiser are much appreciated and Lend A Hand Up will boost your online gift 20% to make your generosity go further.
