Ben is a 32 year old loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. At the end of May 2022, he was brought to the ER after having a seizure. The MRI showed a large brain tumor. At that time he was immediately referred to Rochester, MN. In July 2022 Ben underwent a tumor resection in Rochester, MN where it was a confirmed diagnosis of Malignant Grade 3 Astrocytoma (brain cancer). A diagnosis that no one wants to hear at any age, but especially being otherwise young and healthy. Ben spent weeks in Rochester, healing, going through therapies, and relearning how to do everyday tasks because of vision loss from the surgery. He was able to complete radiation at Roger Maris Cancer Center in September. Going forward he will continue with chemotherapy for at least the next 6 months as well as follow up MRIs every 3 months to monitor the remaining tumor. Donations will help to defer medical costs, future traveling and lodging, and lost wages at work. Ben lives in West Fargo with his wife Steph, daughter Aubrie (14), and son Jack (5).
