Facing a breast cancer diagnosis in September 2023, Allison underwent a preventative MRI which unfortunately revealed a suspicious mass, later confirmed to be cancerous. Despite being scheduled for a full-time workload at Costco, the emotional weight of her diagnosis made it challenging to maintain regular hours. With a double mastectomy scheduled for March 28, 2024, she anticipates a six-week absence from work, though it will be unpaid. This adds an extra layer of stress to an already difficult situation, underscoring the need for support and understanding during Allison’s journey toward recovery. Their family is located in Fargo, where they have a support system to help her through this challenging time. Your online gift will be boosted by 20%, with 100% of your gift going directly to Allison. Cash/checks may be gifted directly to the Hintz family.

Allison is so grateful for the help that each of you has provided to them through monetary donations, meals and gifts. On Wednesday (3/27), Allison had her chemo port removed! So many of the staff commented on her positive attitude, humor and resilience. Thursday, March 28, is Allison's surgery. She will be undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstruction. She will have a 1-2 day hospital stay followed by 4-6 weeks of recovery at home. As Allison and Chris are able, they will update us more on her healing. Please keep them in your prayers while they go through this stressful and long recovery.
