Aiden Brown Fundraiser
On August 23rd, 20 year-old Aiden was riding his bicycle, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling 40 mph. Due to the accident, he suffered a Tentorial Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (brain bleed), Scattered Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (aneurysm), C1 Fracture and C6-7 Ligamentous Injury (spinal cord), an open fracture to his left tibia/fibia compartment syndrome, bruised lungs, and acute blood loss. Aiden had to have many surgeries to save his leg, including inserting a titanium rod and a skin graft.
Since being discharged from the hospital, Aiden is receiving physical, speech, and cognitive therapy at Sanford. He does maintain some memory, but his short-term memory is not where it used to be, and he does not remember the accident. Aiden does show signs of age regression, but the family is hoping his normal personality will come through. Due to the severity of his injuries, he will not be able to work for a while and needs support with his full recovery. His loved ones are noticing small changes daily and have been encouraging him, as well as finding encouragement through his positive outlook. It is a miracle Aiden is still here today to watch his infant daughter Nora grow up.
Money raised will be used to help pay for lost wages and travel expenses. Your gift will be boosted 20% when you give online, and 100% of your donation will go to Aiden. Cash/checks may be gifted directly to Aiden Brown.
