On Friday, February 23rd, Adam experienced a seizure at his workplace, leading to his hospitalization where medical examinations revealed a large brain tumor. Following multiple CT scans and an MRI, it was determined that surgery was necessary and was done on Tuesday, February 27th.

The surgery to remove the tumor was successful and Adam was sent home after a couple of days in ICU. Once home Adam started experiencing numbness in his left leg and foot which brought him back into the hospital. After a CT scan of the brain and an MRI of his back, they determined the issues were caused by swelling in the brain.  Adam was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, March 5th, and is recovering at home. The recovery period is approximately six weeks at home. Karen, Adam’s spouse, will take time off work to care for him, adding to the financial strain as Adam, a truck driver, faces an unknown timeline for returning to work.

Their family, including their three boys, currently reside in Casselton. The news of Adam’s diagnosis and impending surgery weighs heavily on those close to him, especially Karen, who will be supporting him through medical appointments and therapy post-surgery. Your online gift will be boosted by 20%, with 100% of your gift going directly to Adam and Karen. Cash/checks may be gifted directly to the Peterson family.
