The intricate handcut wood sign is composed of oak, pine, and aspen. Every color is a different piece, 32 pieces in all. The tail itself is made of 15 separately cut pieces of oak and aspen. A wood burner was used to make the cuff and waistband lines. The “M” logo was cut out of the sweater and a different piece of wood inserted. The gopher’s body is made out of oak and the eyes and teeth are made from aspen.
